After more than four decades of veterinary practice and serving in leadership and teaching, both Dr. Humphries and Dr. Crane now serve in a high quality veterinary medical practice that focuses on home hospice and so often that means an in-home pet euthanasia done with the most modern medical process and in a dignified and peaceful way. All it takes is a quick review of the comments, testimonials and over a hundred Google Reviews that previous clients have made to see this is your best choice for such a difficult life event.
The greatest benefit to this service is having a quiet and peaceful experience in the comfort of your home. You don’t have to make a distressing car ride and worry about your display of emotion in a crowded veterinary office. Pets are also much more calm at home and the entire process is one of compassion and dignity.
While some regular veterinarians may come to your home for euthanasia, many do not. Often times there is simply not time and it could only be after business hours. Sometimes our pets can’t wait. However, most of our city’s top veterinary hospitals refer their clients to this practice when they need to help their clients in this way. They have learned they can trust Home With Dignity with their valued clients.
Choosing a respectful end to your wonderful pet’s life is hard, but when you know it’s time, and the bad days outnumber the good ones, then they deserve a peaceful transition at your home. (See my Quality of Life Assessment Sheet, and my article called “Covenant of Compassion here) Our pets, especially those who are anxious or in pain, are so much more relaxed and less painful at home and let’s not forget your own emotions at this difficult time. This difficult process is made much easier when you are in the comfort of your own home and your sweet pet did not have to make an uneasy car ride to the veterinary clinic.
Home With Dignity now provides this service for all of Colorado Springs and some outlying areas. See Map of our Practice Area.
An Important Note: This is a medical procedure using a combination of Federally controlled medications, and they must be given properly to provide for a peaceful end of life. This is regulated by state and federal law and all of these procedures must be done by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Please be extremely careful in your choice and know that experience is absolutely key in having a peaceful experience.
